Rosemary (Salvia rosmarinus) is a fragrant, evergreen herb native to the Mediterranean. It is well-loved for its culinary uses, attractive appearance, and aromatic foliage. The leaves are needle-like, dark green on top, and slightly silvery underneath. They are highly aromatic, releasing a piney, earthy fragrance when touched.

Light:

Requires full sun (6–8 hours of direct sunlight daily). Indoors, place near a south-facing window or supplement with grow lights.

Water:

Let the top 1–2 inches of soil dry out before watering. Avoid overwatering, as rosemary prefers drier conditions and can be susceptible to root rot.

Temperature:

Thrives in temperatures between 60°F–80°F (16°C–27°C). It can tolerate temperatures as low as 30°F (-1°C) but needs protection from frost in colder climates.
